Grocery shopping is by far one of the most important ways you can improve your health and your nutrition. And not just going to the store and filling your cart full of blah blah blah...Grocery shopping means buying fresh & organic produce, free range, grass fed meats, locally sourced or at least sustainably caught sea food, and good quality wholesome foods such as coconut butter, unsweetened almond milk and full fat dairy (if you eat dairy). Unfortunately, you guys, that means going to the store every other, if not every single day.
If you only shop once a week, you are most likely buying foods that are highly processed and do not need refrigeration. Most produce is going to start lookin’ iffy in 2-3 days, so chances are on days 3-7 there is a lot of potatoes, rice, and pasta going on. Along with chips, granola bars, bread and crackers. I know it seems like there are not enough hours in the day, especially if you have a family, a dog, a full-time job and probably a million other things going on in your life! But, if you are going to make a sacrifice and really fight for something, make it be grocery shopping!
A couple things I don't shop for, but order online...
Safe Catch Tuna – My boyfriend and I love tuna and our world was changed forever when we started eating Safe Catch line and pole caught Albacore Tuna. It is sustainably caught and it tastes like tuna is supposed to taste! Its levels of mercury are also so low, pregnant woman can consume it safely! I was buying 4-6 cans every time I went to the grocery store (so, about every other day) and it started to get super expensive and honestly, exhausting! Haha so, we decided to join their Safe Catch Elite subscription and it’s been the best thing we have done so far! I highly recommend it if you like and eat tuna as much as we do!
Califia Farms Coconut Butter – literally, life changing… I buy 2 jars on amazon once a month! (They do not sell it on Nantucket)
Califia Farms Unsweetened Almond Milk *I buy this in-store not online* – It is Carrageenan free and I use it almost every day in either my coffee, in a protein shake or even just in a glass with an ice cube after dinner. My absolute FAVORITE flavor is the unsweetened toasted coconut! It’s a party in your mouth! (*not shown in photo*)
Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides- I also have a subscription! It’s a must have! I take two scoops of collagen in my coffee every morning!
Jarrow Probiotics – I just got these after a thoughtful recommendation from one of my Instagram friends! I have been dealing with intense belly bloat and I kid you not, these helped me in just 48 hours!
Ancient Nutrition Digestive Enzymes – As I stated above, I have been dealing with some digestive upset and belly bloat. I did a little research and realized I could be in need of some digestive enzymes. I’ve been taking 2 at every meal for about 2 days and I’ve already noticed a difference!

As promised, here is a small
grocery list of things I buy
almost every time I step foot
in the store! Obviously,
depending on if I need them
slash already have it at
home! you get the gist.
